On February 5th in Guelph and on February 12th in Brampton, a combined total of 30 people gathered at Green Infrastructure Charrettes. Teams of interdisciplinary experts and stakeholders redesigned their communities using green infrastructure to adapt to climate change. Participants gathered from various municipal departments, including: parks, transportation, environment, public works, water and more.
The Charrettes helped staff from each municipality create a vision for how green infrastructure would change their community, and helped them understand how the green infrastructure would directly benefit their community.
Reports from each Charrette, including visuals, customize cost-benefit analyses, and next steps will be coming soon.
